Liposuction Surgery Costs - Worth the Fee?

By Rebecca Knight Liposuction surgery costs are not covered by health insurance because it is considered a cosmetic surgery. Is this popular procedure worth the money? Liposuction surgery costs have remained steady at about $2,700 in the last couple of years. Costs are based on 2005 and 2004 data supplied by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). This information is for the average price for liposuction as surveyed by this organization. Something to note, is that information was broken out for the first time for the ultrasound assisted liposuction versus the suction assisted. The difference is almost $300, making the ultrasound assisted procedure more expensive. It may seem like “everyone is having it done” but not everyone has this type of money to put on the table. If you are considering liposuction make sure to include a thorough analysis of what the procedure will cost and how you are going to pay for it. Questions to Ask Before You Choose a Surgeon: 1) What exactly am I having done? Liposuction surgery costs highly depend on the specifics of what is being done. These specifics include: number of areas treated amount of fat to be removed from the areas part of the body that is being treated amount of fat that is to be removed during the surgery sex of the individual male versus female duration of procedures (which can be driven by all the above factors) 2) Does your surgeon have a liposuction price list (as seen above with ultrasound assisted liposuction procedures, liposuction surgery costs can vary)? ” How much does liposuction cost?” is one of the most frequently asked questions during the exploration process for most prospective patients, if your surgeon doesn’t have this information readily available you should be a little wary. 3) Are the prices reasonable or do they seem way off of the averages provided by organizations like the ASAPS? Keep in mind that liposuction surgery costs also can depend on the individual doctor that you are being treated by. This is why it is important to research many doctors before deciding on one. You should not limit yourself geographically if the price savings is worth it and the surgeon has a good reputation. The ASAPS notes that their average liposuction price is a national average, so geographical differences will occur. The liposuction fee can also vary by facility. Where the procedure is performed can be important, procedures can take place in a hospital, freestanding surgicenters and office-based. Bottom line, your choice of individual doctor plays a large role in determining liposuction surgery costs. 4) What is included in the price? The liposuction fee may not not include other surgical costs such as anesthesia and follow up costs like prescription drugs. Other patient charges that the doctor may include are for the compression garment that is worn after the surgery, antibiotics that might be prescribed, and for blood tests that need to be done. In conclusion you can see that how much your liposuction surgery costs depend on how much research you do before picking your surgeon. Some doctors may give you a discount if the liposuction is being performed on more than one body part. Due to the high demand for cosmetic procedures, there are many ways that you can pay for liposuction surgery costs. You should ask your doctor if he has a payment plan. You should also look into financing your liposuction surgery costs. There are many resources to help with your decision, make sure you consider them before just plopping the cost onto your credit card where the interest rates might not be as competitive. Establish Traditions

By Judy H. Wright Traditions and rituals within the family make everyone feel more united and a part of the group. Many participants in parenting classes say, Oh, we dont really have any traditions. But when we start brainstorming, it is amazing how many simple acts and events have been repeated in the same way, and they are now anticipated by family members. Habits, routines and thats the way we always do it Does your family open gifts on Christmas Eve or morning? How about choosing the birthday meal? Is there a special Sunday meal or Friday dinner? Each family shares unique memories created from their culture as well as special and ordinary events that make up daily life. You will want to establish enjoyable traditions so that your children will fondly remember the days and activities which mark the interactions within the family. This interaction creates a closeness and joy that is felt when being around one another. A tradition is something we can count on. Annual traditions that live forever Our very favorite is writing love letters to one another early in December. We have included our extended family and close friends. The letters are placed in the Christmas stockings. On Christmas Eve we sit down to a wonderful candle-lit dinner of pizza and soda pop and we read the letters privately. This is an opportunity to build new bridges and forgive old hurts. It reinforces the love that we have for each other. The letters are not earthshaking and sometimes they are purchased cards, but they carry a sincere message. Our older daughters have told us that many times, when they are far away from home and being hit in the face with the realities of life, that they will go back to their jewelry box or bottom drawer and pull out those letters. They know that somewhere in this world there are people who love and appreciate them and support their endeavors. Part of a group larger than we are When we feel a part of a larger unit, we are motivated to participate in supporting other group members. It is the shared experience which will impart lasing values and memories. Traditions, even when just begun for the first time, connect us with the past and the history of the family. Treasure the time you spend with one another. My wish for you is that you will foster traditions and memory moments that will build an identity unique to your family and bind you together through seasons and generations. 3 Important Tips To Make Your Online Business a Success

By Cyndie King So you have decided to start an online business. You have read a bunch of ebooks, and thoroughly studied and researched starting an online business. You built a website, purchased a domain name and now you are ready to go. You decide to follow the PPC methods of getting traffic and sales and after a few weeks, nothing happens. Youre now very disgruntled and decide that maybe this isnt for you. Even though you went through all the right steps, you missed some extremely major steps that I would like to discuss with you today. Tip # 1 Understand your customer Do you really understand your customer? Most people start a business from their own frame of mind. They start a business thinking, I want to make money, I want to pay off these bills, I want to buy a new car or I want to go on vacation. You see, you start the business from what you want rather than what the customer wants. So above all else, understand that your customer or the person that comes to your website is missing something in their life and wants to find it. They have an emptiness in their life and think that by coming to your website, they might be able to fill that emptiness. So you the business owner must change your mindset and get yourself out of the way and put the needs, wants and desires of your customer at the forefront of your business. Tip # 2 You must be the Leader There is an old adage that says that you can lead the horse to water, but you cant make them drink. In your world of building an online business, I would like to stress that this is your job. It is not only to lead your customer to the water but in your leading you must understand that they will drink the water. As you build your online business, everything that you do must be based on the fact that you understand that your customer is missing something in their life, and you are there to bring them that something that they are missing. As they discover that you have what they are missing, they will drink the water. Tip # 3 You are the Relationship Builder As you bring that customer to the water, you have developed a relationship with that customer. It is your job to keep that customer and continue to provide that customer with the things that he is missing in his life. Remember in Tip # 1 we talked about understanding the customer. You must remember that once the emptiness has been filled, it is human nature for that emptiness to return. Think about that. A lot of women love to buy shoes and purses. If a woman goes to the store to buy a pair of shoes and walks out of the store with that pair of shoes, she has just filled that emptiness. Will that emptiness be filled permanently? No, her friend has a different pair of shoes that she really likes and she decides that she wants a pair also. So that emptiness has returned. As the business owner, you want to make sure that you are the one to continually fill that emptiness. To do this you must build a relationship with that customer so that when that emptiness needs to be filled, your business is there to fill the need, they know it; they know you and they will come to you. So to create a successful business, be it online or offline, you must be sure that your mindset is such that you understand your customer, be a leader that leads the customer based on understanding what motivate them, and finally understand that you are in the business of building relationships first, not selling products. If you know what your customer wants, and can continually provide them with what they want by building a relationship with them, your business will be extremely successful. Determining Romance and Compatibility Between Two People Using Palmistry

By Per Hogseth Some people seem to be natural romantics, while others appear to be romantically challenged. To determine how romantic someone is, look at the height and quality of the Mount of Venus. If the mount is high and firm, the person is a true romantic. If the mount is high and spongy, the person will be sensual and interested primarily in satisfying their own needs. Venus shows the amount of physical energy and stamina we possess and also reveals the degree of sexuality. Someone with a firm, high mount, will have a strong sexual drive. If this persons partner has a similar mount, their sex life will be explosive. Someone with a creative, curving Head Line will be more romantic than someone with a straight, practical, down-to-earth line. Again, though, we want balance. People with Head Lines that swoop right down into the Mount of Luna are likely to live in a world of day dream and fantasies. These people will be romantic, and in love with the idea of being in love. Unless they have some strong character traits shown elsewhere on their hands, they will always be disappointed with the realities of life and will retreat into a fantasy world where everything is perfect. Compatibility Compatibility is a fascinating area. I believe that most relationships can work as long as there is love and good will on both sides. However, some relationships involve an incredible amount of work, just to keep the couple together. In some cases, one partner is doing all the work. Hand Shapes Fire Earth Air Water First, look at the hand shapes. This reveals the basic temperaments of the people involved. Its a positive sign if both people have the same type of hands. For instance, Fire and Fire are a good match since they have similar temperaments. Its not quite as easy if the hand shapes are different. Fire and Earth do not relate well, as fire scorches earth. Fire and Air get on famously, as air fans and stimulates fire. Fire and Water are not compatible, as water puts out the fire. Earth and Air get on well, as air allows living things to grow and flourish in earth. Earth and Water also get along well, as water enables life to exist on earth. Air and Water would have a placid, unexciting relationship as both are necessary for survival, but do little for each other. Heart Lines Once youve determined the hand shapes, look at the ending positions of the Heart Lines. The Heart Lines should be reasonably similar on both parties hands and should end at the same place. Bear in mind, if one partner has a chained Heart Line, theyve experienced disappointments in love. This person will be cautious about a total commitment to a new relationship. Ideally, the Heart Lines should end between the Jupiter and Saturn fingers. This shows that both people have realistic expectations. If both people have Heart Lines that end on the Mount of Jupiter, theyll be overly idealistic and have many disappointments. If one partner has a Heart Line that ends on Jupiter, but the other partner doesnt, the relationship will be difficult. The partner with the Heart Line that ends under Jupiter will be constantly disappointed. They will dwell on their partners imperfections. If one persons Heart Line ends on the Mount of Saturn, theyll be selfish. Its hard to imagine a happy relationship when both partners have Heart Lines that end on Saturn. If one person has a Mental Heart Line and the other a Physical Heart Line, check to see if they both end in a similar area. For instance, the Physical Heart Line may end between the Mount of Jupiter and the Mount of Saturn. The Mental Heart Line may end between the Jupiter and Saturn fingers. This still indicates compatibility, but the Mental Heart Line shows a more impersonal love and difficulty in expressing innermost thoughts. The partner with the Physical Heart line would want flowers, small gifts and constant reassurance that theyre loved. This partner with the Mental Heart Line would also tend to be a little detached at times. A number of compromises would have to be made by both partners in this relationship. Thumbs After youve assessed the shape of the hands and the quality of the Heart Lines, its time to look at the thumbs. For compatibility, both partners thumbs should be similar. Imagine the relationship if one person had a strong, thick, stubborn thumb and the other a small, flexible thumb. The second person would be constantly dominated by the first. If both partners have strong, stubborn thumbs, theyll have to learn to compromise. Theyll have some interesting learning experiences along the way, but ultimately will manage to adjust. If both partners have highly flexible thumbs, theyll get along very well. Both partners will be flexible and want to please. However, theyll most likely have difficulties making important decisions. Mount of Venus Finally, check the Mount of Venus again. As mentioned earlier, both partners should have approximately the same size Venus Mounts. Partners with different size Venus Mounts will experience sexual frustration. A partner with the high, firm Venus Mount will have a strong sex drive, while a partner with a low, almost inverted Venus Mount, will find the occasional sexual encounter is enough. If a couples Venus Mounts are a similar height and degree of firmness, they are likely to be sexually compatible. Per Hogseth is a professional psychic reader currently living in Norway. Online Dating Services: 10 Good Tips for You

By Alex Carter 1. How reputable is the online dating service that you are considering signing up with? Do they advertise on local and national television? Do they back up their site with guarantees about your personal safety? Do plenty of searches to verify the security of the service you are considering. 2. One bad thing about online dating services is that some don’t have checks in place to verify the single status of their members. Does the online dating service you are considering have any guarantees about member status? 3. Be leery of daters on an online dating service asking for money or help out in financial situations of any kind. Overseas men and women both are notorious for scamming people out of money. Ask your service how they handle this and always be alert. 4. Don’t sign up for any email service that allows your email address to be seen without you giving permission for someone to have it. Internet spammers will abuse this function and you will be flooded with spam in a heartbeat. 5. If the online dating services you are considering require you to post your address (anything more than your city) then be aware of potential risks. There have been situations where people have shown up at residential addresses without even speaking with the online dater. 6. Use the same intuitions and gut feelings that you use when you are going on an actual date when you use and online dating service. In other words, if your gut tells you that somebody is going to be a problem or too much to take, don’t even begin the communication process. 7. A great tip about online dating services is to never give out any information than you absolutely have to until you meet the person. If the online dating service you are considering requires your screen name to be your real, actual name then it shouldn’t be considered. An alias or other title is better as anyone can find your info online with a few searches. 8. Don’t absolutely ignore the people that contact you first, but be alert that these are the people that could possibly be targeting others. It is a good idea to be invisible (if that is an option) until you decide to contact someone or feel comfortable enough with the site to begin communicating. 9. Realize that you can get any number of free email accounts on the web without having to do too much as far as real information. A good tip about online dating services is to get a few email aliases that aren’t your real name and use them to sign up with. Once this is done you can communicate with a little more comfort. 10. Before ever meeting someone from an online dating service ensure that you have several friends or family alerted to where you are going. Have a cell phone handy that everyone knows and make sure you give an update here or there (bathroom breaks, etc.) to let them know of your progress. Out of Sight, But Not Out of Mind

By Heidi Richards What’s black and white and read all over? A newsletter of course! And while there are perhaps hundreds of ways to market your business and increase your bottom line, one of the singlemost effective tools in marketing is your own business-building newsletter. The Power of Newsletters: Newsletters show the customer you care - even when you can’t be there. Newsletters answer basic wants and needs, which leads to word of mouth referrals and greater loyalty - something your competitors can’t buy. Newsletters reinforce your message. Great newsletters get read and saved by decision makers. The more your readers see your name, the more inclined they are to refer you, hire you, and buy from you. Great newsletters establish you as their personal expert, someone they trust. Great newsletters can make even a “small” company look big. It builds your image. Your newsletter can help “qualify” a prospect. They can read it and learn about your product and services, cutting their buying curve. Before you begin your newsletter, decide… The purpose or objective in publishing your newsletter. Is it to educate and improve the personal and professional lives of your readers? Is it to market and position your company as the resource for answers to their problems? Who is your target audience? How often will you publish? A monthly newsletter keeps your company on the top of your customer’s and prospect’s minds. What type of newsletter is ideal for your readers? Paper publications have a longer life span; they create a strong impression in the customer’s mind, however they are costly to produce. Ezines can use basically the same format, are easy to read and are convenient for the reader to reply to. The downside is that they can be deleted too quickly (even before it is ever read). And many ezines I’ve read are filled with self-promotion and are basically a waste of time. What is your budget? Can you afford a four color or two/three color printed piece, or do you go for simple black and white? Simple can be better; as long as it is a professionally presented newsletter your readers will respond to. How long will it be? When you first start producing, focus on a one to four page newsletter to produce. Who gets it? You can send your message to a small or large group. You get to decide who gets it. This form of direct communication filled with information the reader can use creates a bond that is difficult to achieve through other forms of mass marketing. If you don’t enjoy writing, you could interview others for ideas, or invite others in your industry (those not in direct competition) to write guest articles. You could also purchase industry specific newsletters with your message and promotional info on them. Nearly every major industry has this service. Check with your associations for a referral. Remember that your newsletter is an extension of you and your company. The image it conveys is the image your readers will remember. Be consistent. If you publish and send monthly, then publish and send monthly. Maybe it’s time to increase your visibility with newsletters. Write-on! Wedding Day Blues: “Buyer’s Remorse”

By Debbie Jensen Should the average middle class person be spending several thousand dollars on an event they cannot afford or might not work out? Is planning an expensive, elaborate wedding appropriate for a person who is barely getting by and survives on a tight, modest income? Many people have asked my opinion about the sky-rocketing cost of weddings and receptions and are baffled at what to do. From what I saw from my twenty year career as a wedding photographer, most people feel obligated to finance and provide a traditional wedding day for their family and friends. I spent years selling the American dream and was very much part of wedding day hype and promotionsmy livelihood was at stake. However, the wedding business is now only part of my past. In looking back, I feel I can see the whole picture a little bit clearer now (even though there are so many different aspects to consider). In behalf of future generations, I wish to see expensive traditional weddings, as we know it today, become a “thing of the past.” I say this, because the average person struggles financially, and traditional weddings are a tremendous financial burden for those who feel obligated to finance them. To be honest, I think young couples would be better served if the money spent on huge, expensive wedding days went instead towards more practical things. Lets face it, most young couples prior to getting married, struggle financially. Many bridal couples are still in school or have just graduated with huge student loans to pay; and most often, they are strapped with small children as they approach the alter, so to speak. As a wedding photographer, I saw a lot of heartache and stress for everyone involved. Traditional weddings could be “warm and fuzzy” if the bride and groom’s families and bridal parties (and friends) were perfect little angels and divorce was taboo! But in todays society, conflict between family members is at an all-time high. Sadly, family conflict can taint wedding memories. In today’s society, where money is short and wants are extreme, how can the average person feel good about the whole affair after all is said and done? Believe me, more often than not, the average person showed “buyer’s remorse” by the time the wedding album was complete. Food for thought! There is Nothing like Mace in Your Face

By Victoria Lee Mace is one of the original self-defense weapons. And its been the best friend of many women, college students, senior citizens, and others who need a portable device to help them fend off would-be attackers. At first thought it is amazing that with all of the new self-defense technologies out there, mace is still around, and as popular as ever. However, it is easy to see why Mace is still such a popular choice for personal safety. Lets go back a few steps, and look into the very beginnings of Mace as an essential self-defense weapon. Mace is actually a consumer version of tear gas, the old pal of police officers who would use the noxious agent to stop riots and put would-be bad guys (and sometimes rowdy college students) on the ground and out of commission. Considering its industrial-strength chemical agents were designed for use with the police, Mace is a very able self-defense tool in most situations. But Mace isnt perfect. It works, by irritating the mucous membranes of a persons eyes, nose and throat, causing them to tear, run and otherwise flare up with pain. They may get a headache, feel dizzy and have tightness in their chest. What isnt this perfect you ask? Well, as many cops have found out, if someone is high on drugs, drunk off his rocker or even completely out of his mind, he wont tend to feel pain. No pain means no gain if you are using Mace. That could put you, an average American citizen, in a very tight bind if you are attacked by someone and the Mace doesnt work. For a cop, this problem isnt such a big deal, because theyre also armed with things like a billy club and gun. But for us, we generally have one self-defense weapon, and if that doesnt work, we could be in for it. Enter the next generation of Mace products, including products like Mace Pepper Spray and Mace Pepper Foam. These products come with the original Mace tear gas chemicals in them, but they also have hot pepper mixed in, called oleoresin capsicum. It is the same chemical, in effect, that causes hot peppers and fiery salsa to burn your tongue and get your sweating. But in the case of Mace, this capsicum, or OC for short, is super concentrated. Instead of just causing someone pain and tearing eyes, OC causes a person to stop and drop. It is an inflammatory, instead of just an irritant. OC causes eyes, nose, and throat to burn. An attackers throat swells to the point where he can only cough and can barely breathe. Their eyes swell so shut that they cannot see out of them. In fact, the blood vessels in their actual eye balls swell so much that the person goes temporarily blind. Problems with their eyes may make them loose their balance and the lack of oxygen will hopefully stop them from being able to run after you. In other words, no one is able to fight through the effects of OC. An attacker has no choice but to feel the heat, and leave you alone. It is this combination of old-fashioned tear gas and OC, in an easy to use and easy to carry form that makes todays Mace the new friend of everyday citizens everywhere. Direct Student Loans

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Richard_Romando]Richard Romando Education is certainly important, especially today, when most jobs require people to have at the very least a degree in something. Gone are the days when college degrees were optional. College graduates and even those who hold Masters degrees are now quite ordinary. Tertiary education is a must if you want to land a competitive job. Thanks to direct student loans, putting yourself through college need not be too difficult. Why avail of direct student loans Essentially, people with degrees are more likely to receive higher paying jobs and better benefits than those who do not. But lets face it not everyone has the resources to go to collage. Tertiary education is expensive, and many people cannot afford to pay for it without proper funding. Luckily, many organizations now extend very flexible and convenient direct student loans. These loans are available from the government, universities, academic foundations and private lenders. Direct student loans are designed for students they are usually payable in very flexible schemes and at very low interest rates. Repayment is fairly easy because once a student graduates, he or she is almost always able to get a decent-paying job that comfortably pays for the direct student loan. In fact, most borrowers are able to pay off their direct student loans in as little as three to five years. How to avail of direct student loans Direct student loans are available to incoming freshmen students, working students and people who want to go back to school. They are usually given out three months before the start of school in September, but there are also mid-school year loans available for borrowers who may need financial help to sustain their enrollment. It is a good idea to do your research early, because most direct student loan funding companies ask for a lot of documentary requirements that take a while to produce. The earlier you submit your application, the better your chances of qualifying. Eat Moms Cooking without Dying

By Matt Shuebrook First appeared in Suavv Magazine. Finally the time is here. Its been months, for some people years since youve been around family. In this day and age people are so busy with work they have very little time to spend with family. But one thing for sure is when the holidays come; finally families gather together and share special moments. One thing about the holidays though is while we get the chance to see our families again; one thing we dont account for is the weight one often gains from the holiday feast. Ask anyone about thanksgiving and the first thing that comes up in their mind is food and how much of it they eat. Thanksgiving most certainly is a time to give thanks and to be grateful but often people are simply grateful and thankful that they can eat to the point their bellies pop out. Its often said that people during the holidays can put on average 3-10 lbs of fat. Thats not a misprint. Can you believe in just 2 months time you can actually become up to 10 lbs fatter? I dont know about you but I simply cannot afford for that to happen to me and when you realize how difficult it is to drop body fat you will find that you cant afford it either. Now eating during the holidays does not have to be like this. Sure you can eat but how much you eat and what youre eating definitely plays an important role in keeping the fat gain to a minimum. Also lets not forget that during the holidays is the time also when people are so busy with shopping and flying all over the place that they perform very little to no exercise at all. The note to take away is make sure you move your butt during the holidays or you wont recognize it when the holidays are over. But I digress. Eating during the holidays could be a lot different if we were willing to make some minor changes to moms cooking during this time of year. When it comes to have the whole family together you often see foods like macaroni and cheese, collard greens, mashed potatoes, turkey necks, gravy, banana pudding, cornbread, biscuits, and fried chicken just to name a few.
